Diane Wahne, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. Diane’s education began at SUNY Farmingdale State College with an earned Associate Degree in Science; Major Nursing in 1993. Upon graduation, she worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care RN for over 15 years. During the next 8 ½ years, Diane worked in several trauma receiving hospitals as an Emergency Department RN, as well as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. In 2015, Diane earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Empire State College. Through assisting and helping patients with in the psychiatric population, Diane found a new passion and decided to further her knowledge of this specialty while working at Zucker Hillside Hospital. In 2018, Diane became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an earned master’s degree from Stony Brook University and board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
