At Victory Recovery Partners, a network of addiction-recovery centers on Long Island and NYC, we offer psychiatric services to our patients who are battling substance use and addiction issues. Psychiatric services are frequently needed, as many of our patients commonly have co-existing psychiatric conditions in addition to their substance use issues. Substance use can develop due to personal issues such as chronic stress, anxiety, or depression. Additionally, conditions such as bipolar disorder, which is a “long-term” psychiatric condition, can also increase one’s chances and risks for developing a substance use disorder. With all of that being said, medication management is a major component of the treatment plans for many of our patients.
Our psychiatric services create a safe and secure provider-patient relationship. Patients will work with our team of psychiatric providers, such as psychiatric physician assistants, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists to develop a custom-tailored treatment approach. As a result, patients will be able to understand the underlying issues behind their addiction, allowing them to understand the connection between addiction, their body, and their brain.
Victory is unique in that we do not only rely on counselors to treat patients. As explained above, with our team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, we make higher levels of specialized care available to our patients. Additionally, we are typically able to see new patients within 24-48 hours – in contrast to other practices who have longer lead times and may refer patients to third-party providers.
