Outpatient Treatment

The epidemic of opioid addiction is an ever-widening disease that continues to affect many lives. But it is an epidemic that can be overcome. Outpatient addiction treatment using proven medications (such as Suboxone), combined with behavioral health services, is widely acknowledged as being effective in helping patients who suffer from substance use disorder achieve long-term, lasting recovery.

Unfortunately, the addiction crisis on Long Island is as severe as – if not worse – than anywhere else in the nation. And, opioids aren’t the only substances that are taking the lives of family and friends. In the United States, about 17 million people are afflicted with alcohol use disorder. Additionally, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), in 2017 there were approximately 14,000 deaths caused by cocaine overdoses.

We formed Victory Recovery Partners (VRP) to provide best-in-class care through a unique combination of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using Suboxone and similar prescriptions, and behavioral health therapy – all under one roof.
– Dr. Paolo Coppola; Co-Founder of Victory Recovery Partners

Our New York Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS) certified outpatient addiction recovery centers are dedicated to defeating these problems. Victory Recovery Partners specializes in providing outpatient addiction treatment for drug or alcohol dependency. We take a multidisciplinary approach to help patients get on track to better, healthier lives.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

OPIOID ADDICTION TREATMENT

Opioid dependency is a national epidemic that includes the abuse of prescription painkillers and illegal narcotics. Victory provides outpatient addiction treatment using Suboxone (Buprenorphine) and other prescription medications (such as Sublocade™ and Vivitrol®) for patients who are dependent on heroin, fentanyl, or other opioids.

OUR APPROACH TO RECOVERY

We take a more personal, comprehensive approach to recovery through medication-assisted treatment (MAT), combined with customized behavioral health services (BHS) and wellness care for addiction-related medical conditions. Best of all it all happens right here at Victory’s outpatient addiction treatment facilities through the expert care of our experienced addiction medicine and emergency medicine-trained staff, along with onsite psychiatrists and counselors.

Upon entering our care, each patient receives detailed medical and psychiatric assessments so that Victory can design a customized outpatient addiction treatment plan best suited to the individual’s specific needs.

MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT)

MAT is the use of FDA-approved medications prescribed by experienced physicians to treat substance use disorder, help prevent opioid overdose, and promote lasting, long-term recovery. MAT medications used for outpatient addiction treatment include Suboxone (Buprenorphine), Sublocade™, and Vivitrol®.

MAT has become the gold standard for opioid addiction treatment, recommended by the US Department of Health and Human Services, the World Health Organization, and the American Society for Addiction Medicine, among many other leading health organizations.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES (BHS)

BHS focuses on treating “the whole patient” through individual and group counseling, intensive outpatient services (IOP), and psychiatric services with psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselors. Where appropriate, the behavioral health services included in Victory’s outpatient addiction treatment may also involve patients’ family members, who often play an important role in the recovery process.

Behavioral health services help patients achieve recovery from substance abuse in two ways:

  1. By addressing underlying “root” issues that may have caused or contributed to substance abuse.
  2. Providing patients with coping tools and stress management skills needed to sustain their recoveries and prevent relapses.

WELLNESS CARE

Wellness care entails treating medical conditions – such as hepatitis C or hypertension – that can directly interfere with substance abuse recovery.

Many of our addiction treatment patients do not receive regular medical care yet suffer from a host of health issues in addition to their substance use disorder. Consequently, Victory offers wellness care in conjunction with outpatient addiction treatment to address other medical conditions which, if untreated, could impede patients from achieving recovery.
