What Our Shirley Drug Rehab Center Offers
Victory Recovery Partners’ Shirley location provides outpatient treatment for opioid, alcohol, cocaine, stimulant, benzodiazepine and other substance use disorders. We also support clients who have an addiction occurring alongside anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, mood disorders or other mental health concerns.
A treatment plan can involve addiction medicine providers, nurses, psychiatric professionals, behavioral health counselors, group facilitators, recovery peers and wellness staff. These providers coordinate services instead of requiring our clients to try to manage disconnected treatment systems on their own.
This is important because addiction, physical health and mental health very often affect each other. A change in mood or sleep can increase cravings; continued substance use might interfere with psychiatric medication, or worsen anxiety or withdrawal symptoms, which can make it hard to fully participate in counseling.
By offering multiple services under one roof, Victory can consider the concerns together and then adjust treatment as a client’s needs change. Intensive Outpatient Program

An IOP treatment plan might include group therapy, individual counseling, recovery education and psychiatric support, medication management, relapse prevention work and peer recovery services.
Clients can practice the strategies they learn while navigating real situations outside treatment, which helps our clinical team identify any challenges they may be facing and make adjustments to the treatment plan if needed.
Outpatient Treatment
Standard outpatient care generally involves fewer weekly treatment hours and more scheduling flexibility. It may be suitable if a client is medically and psychiatrically stable, has a safe living environment and can manage their recovery between appointments.
Outpatient treatment can also be a step-down level of care after an IOP or another structured program so clients can keep getting therapy, psychiatric care and medication management as their need for frequent treatment goes down.
Placement is based on a clinical assessment, and if someone needs a service outside of our scope, our team can make a referral.
Methadone Treatment at the Shirley Opioid Treatment Program
We operate an opioid treatment program that includes supervised methadone treatment for eligible adults with opioid use disorder.
Methadone is a long-acting medication that can reduce the symptoms of opioid withdrawal as well as cravings. If it’s used for opioid use disorder, it has to be dispensed through a regulated treatment program.
Treatment starts with an evaluation where a medical provider reviews the person’s opioid use, withdrawal symptoms, health history, current medications and other clinical factors before determining if it’s appropriate.
The provider selects an initial dose and then monitors the client’s response. The dosage can be adjusted over time.
