Lynn Mitchell, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Victory Recovery Partners, with locations in Farmingville, Shirley, and Massapequa, New York. She specializes in providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and developing customized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of her patients.

Lynn began her education at the Farmingdale State College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1985. In 2001, Lynn completed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Stony Brook University. Lynn went on to complete her education at Stony Brook University where she earned a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing in 2004, graduating as a member of Kappa Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.

Lynn began her nursing career in cardiology, where she cared for patients in the intensive care unit and coronary care unit. She then gained valuable psychiatric care experience working in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit, treating people with substance use disorders, schizophrenia, and anxiety and panic disorders before moving into psychiatric nurse practitioner roles.

Lynn is a member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
