Sally McGarrity, LCSW-R has been active in the fields of substance use disorders and mental health since completing her studies at SUNY Stonybrook in 1989. Sally’s career began as a primary counselor in an inpatient setting and has evolved to include many administrative rolls in both OASAS and OMH facilities. Sally has been the Executive Director of (Seafield in Riverhead),( Director of Long Island Center for Recovery) both inpatient and outpatient SUD facilities, Assistant Director of (Clubhouse of Suffolk) OMH Case Management Agency and Program Director of a (Clubhouse of Suffolk) PROS Program for Adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness.
Her experience in treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders has inspired a professional ideal that she believes in empowering individuals to build on their strengths, the importance of trauma informed care, as well as individualized treatment.
